North to Glen Gorm and North West to Calgary

LDay 15, June 11. Another sunny, delightful day to hike and sight see on Mull. Today we started our adventures on the grounds of Glen Gorm, a castle hotel, on the north coast just above Tobermory with standing stones, super scenery, and some gentle walks down to the sea. We opted to enjoy one of them. From there we traveled west for another look at Calgary and its sparkling white sandy beach surrounded by pretty hills. A stunning spot for sure as we discovered on an evening drive a few days ago!  In Calgary we found a pleasant gallery, tea shop, and sculpture walk which wound up hill and down with about 25 various and sundry sculptures created from a variety of things. Although the single track roads are challenging to drive on, the scenery is so beautiful you overlook them and ooh and aah non-stop. There are always sheep and baby lambs, cattle and Highland cattle with their huge horns to enjoy while driving along. We started today's day out right after breakfast and pulled into the driveway at 5 o'clock happy and exhilarated after a super day. When we return to Aros Mains, our home for the week and indeed a splendiferous place, we wonder why we ever left it. I wrote a few postcards while sitting in the living room window looking out every few seconds at the incredible scene and finally decided to grab my camera and wander outdoors by the castle. Always a beautiful treat!
