En route home to Aros Mains for lunch and to pick up Dolly who spent the morning checking out places nearby to paint, Bill dropped me off along the shores in Salen to photograph the local boat wrecks with the tide washing in, outstanding views, wild flowers, and shore birds as I walked in the direction of our lodgings. On this happy and leisurely walk I enjoyed views of Aros Castle from across the Sound of Mull so instead of viewing the area from Aros here on the grounds of where we are staying I looked over the water to the ruined castle.
